How will JudgeMyPic publish aggregate insights?
Future research will use aggregated, de-identified voting data with clearly stated dates, sample sizes and inclusion rules. We will not turn a tiny early dataset into claims such as “this photo style wins.” Individual private reports stay private.
Publication threshold
We will not publish a platform-wide benchmark from early testing data. A first public insights report should include at least 500 trustworthy community battle votes, and preferably 1,000+, after internal/test traffic is excluded. Every report will state the exact final sample.
What a report must disclose
- the collection date range
- total eligible battle votes and, where useful, number of participating voters
- the categories included, such as dating, photography, outfits, couples, pets or profile pictures
- the exact question or comparison being analyzed
- any exclusions used to remove internal testing, obvious abuse or invalid records
- limitations that affect interpretation
Subgroup rules
We do not publish a demographic percentage from a tiny subgroup. Product-level reports already require a minimum number of votes before subgroup percentages appear; public research will use stricter thresholds when needed. Age or gender comparisons will always include the subgroup sample size.
Privacy
Public research is aggregate. It will not publish a user's private report, friend-vote link, account details or uploaded photo merely because that photo participated in a test. Example images used in research will require a separate right to publish or explicit consent.
What the data can and cannot say
A vote describes a preference between specific images in a defined context. Aggregate results can reveal patterns in those choices, but they do not measure universal attractiveness and cannot guarantee dating matches, followers, interviews or hiring outcomes.
Why publish the rules first?
Publishing methodology before findings makes it harder to move the goalposts after seeing a result. When JudgeMyPic has a qualified sample, future reports will live under this research section and link back to these standards.
