Your photos are not public property.

Short version. JudgeMyPic is an 18+ photo-testing service. Uploaded photos are stored privately, shown only as needed to run opted-in battles, and results are private to the uploader. Google Analytics is loaded only after analytics consent. We do not send uploaded photos to Google Analytics.

1. What we collect

Depending on how you use JudgeMyPic, we may process:

Account data: your account identifier, email address and sign-in provider information supplied through our authentication service.
Category waitlist data: if you ask to be notified when an underfilled battle category goes live, we store the email address you submit, the selected category and the signup time so we can send that launch notice.
Profile and audience settings: age band, judge group, timezone, username/display name if you choose to add them, and your 18+ / terms confirmations.
Photos and photo settings: photos you upload, category, subject pool, requested feedback audience, consent confirmations and moderation status.
Battle activity: votes, skips, assignment records, approximate viewing time, credits, streaks and anti-abuse/trust signals used to operate the voting system.
Safety data: reports, moderation actions, takedown requests and related operational logs.
Analytics data: only if you choose to allow analytics. This can include ordinary website usage events and device/browser information collected by Google Analytics.

2. How uploaded photos are handled

Upload buckets are private. Incoming images are screened for prohibited or unsafe visual content before normal photo processing. Images that pass the automated safety gate are re-encoded server-side; the processing step removes image profiles/metadata such as EXIF/GPS data, normalizes the image to JPEG, and may resize it for service delivery. Automated screening is not perfect, so uploads can also remain subject to human moderation and user reports. Temporary raw uploads are deleted after successful processing and failed/expired uploads are cleaned up by scheduled maintenance.

Final photos remain in private storage and are delivered through authorized, short-lived access paths when needed for a battle, the owner’s account, or moderation. Uploading a photo does not make it publicly browsable.

3. Why we use your data

We use data to provide sign-in, process and moderate photos, match photos into battle audiences, record votes, calculate private results, maintain credits and streaks, prevent abuse, investigate reports, process removal requests, send a requested category-launch notification, maintain service security, and improve the product where you have allowed analytics.

4. Who can see your photo

If you opt a photo into the battle pool, eligible JudgeMyPic voters may see it as part of a comparison. Your private result dashboard is not a public attractiveness leaderboard. A photo may also be viewed by authorized moderators when it is pending review or reported.

5. AI features

Uploaded images may be sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, for automated safety screening before they enter the product. If you explicitly use Judd or another AI-powered photo feature, the image and context you submit may also be sent to OpenAI to generate the requested feedback. Judd analyses may be stored privately in your account history together with the analyzed image so you can reopen and share your own analysis later. Judd history is not added to the public battle pool; it is shared outside your account only when you choose to use a sharing feature. Human battle voting remains separate from AI-generated feedback.

6. Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose allow analytics. If you decline, analytics remains disabled. You can reopen analytics preferences from the site footer. Uploaded photos are not sent to Google Analytics, and our current analytics configuration disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals.

7. Service providers

We use service providers to operate JudgeMyPic, including Supabase for authentication/database/storage infrastructure, Resend for service email delivery, Google for Google sign-in and optional Google Analytics, and OpenAI for image safety screening and when you invoke an AI feature. These providers process data for the functions described above and may have their own privacy terms.

8. Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the type of data and the state of a photo. Temporary raw uploads are designed to be removed promptly after processing. Photos that are withdrawn, completed, rejected or removed may remain briefly while scheduled cleanup completes; some pool states currently use a retention window of about 72 hours. Deleting your account triggers deletion of your stored photo files and the account record, subject to limited records we may need to retain where required for security, abuse prevention or legal obligations. Category waitlist records are kept until the requested launch notice is sent or the record is otherwise removed. Private Judd analysis history and its stored analysis images are retained with your account and are removed through the account-deletion process, subject to short technical cleanup periods and legally required retention.

You can delete individual photos from your account and can delete your account from the Lab/account area. If you appear in a photo without consent, or believe a photo involves a minor, use our photo removal / consent request.

9. 18+ only

JudgeMyPic is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts or upload photos. Reports involving possible minors are treated as high-priority safety issues.

10. Your choices and rights

You can choose whether to provide optional profile fields, whether to allow analytics, and whether to keep photos in the battle pool. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, or request a copy of certain data. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not limited by this policy.

11. Security

We use private storage, authorization checks, limited signed access, row-level database controls, moderation and operational logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not upload material you do not have the right to share.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes may require you to accept an updated version before continuing to use account features.

This policy describes the current JudgeMyPic product configuration. Product features and retention periods may change as the service evolves.
